The Nuttery was founded in 1990 by my late father, Leslie Lipton. Dad, an architectural designer, was inspired by a BBC programme called Daylight Robbery, which was basically about squirrels effortlessly overcoming obstacles to get to food. This sparked his mission: design a bird feeder that would allow birds to feed in safety while deterring squirrels from denying them that privilege!
